Smiles with Style Board of Directors
Don Barker is a Enterprise Collaboration Consultant for CDW based in Independence, OH. Don is a seasoned IT professional with over 19 years of experience and works with many enterprise customers as a trusted technical adviser. Don’s background is focused around Microsoft and Cisco telephony, video, Contact Center, Unified Communications and Collaboration. Don’s real passion and specialty is working with customers to provide clear guidance and strategy, architectural design and successful solution delivery.
In 1997, Don graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelors of Science in Education. Don currently resides in Hudson, Ohio with his wife and two sons. In addition to being a board member for Smiles with Styles, Don is the Pack Committee Chairman for Hudson Cub Scout Pack 3322.
Karen Boehnlein is an attorney concentrating her practice in domestic relations, estate planning, real estate and small business. In addition to her 24 year law career, Karen was a legal instructor at the University of Akron and the Academy of Court Reporting. She also launched two start-up businesses; one service related and one product related.
Karen holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Cleveland State University and a Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law.
Karen lives in Richfield with her husband Steve and has three daughters; Stephanie, Alexandra and Emily.
Dave is Vice President – Finance at the Cleveland-based chemical company McGean. Prior to his role at McGean, Dave spent 12 years with GE Advanced Materials / Momentive in various finance roles in the US and abroad. Dave started his career in public accounting at Ernst & Young in Cleveland where he served clients predominantly in the manufacturing sector.
Dave graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1994 with a BS in Accounting. Prior to college, Dave served in the US Air Force as a Russian Linguist stationed in West Germany.
After 17 years of globetrotting, Dave and his wife Danielle have returned to the Cleveland area. They currently live in Broadview Heights, Ohio with their two sons Zachary and Nathaniel.
Jen Koch founded Smiles with Style in 2012. The inspiration for Smiles with Style grew out of her volunteer experience at Akron Children’s Hospital. Prior to devoting her time to Smiles with Style, Jen spent her time as a manager of several insurance products and teams. She began her career as a CPA with Ernst & Young and then went on to become an investment banker with McDonald Investments.
Jen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Miami University, an EMBA from The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Jen lives in Sagamore Hills, Ohio with her husband Brian.
Angela C. Spitalieri
Angie is the Executive Director of the Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation (NOIA) and Publisher of La Gazzetta Italiana newspaper. Angie resides and works in Cleveland’s historic Little Italy neighborhood.
Angie graduated from John Carroll University is 1999 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She started her career at John Carroll University in the Alumni and Development office. During her time there she realized her passion for connecting people and facilitating a sense of community.
In January 2006, Angie aligned her passion for people and her deep respect for her Italian American heritage by becoming the Executive Director for the Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation (NOIA).
Paul is an attorney focusing his practice on business litigation, employment law, family law and criminal law. Paul’s drive for being a lawyer is based on his focus to assist clients through difficult times and resolve issues efficiently. Paul attained the Rising Star designation from Super Lawyers, which is an honor that only 2.5% of lawyer receive throughout the United States. He also owns a pizza shop in Cuyahoga Falls, so he can discuss specifically with small business clients the difficulties required in running a business.
Paul is a graduate from the University of Akron School of Law and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Walsh University where he obtained All-American Honors in Cross Country and All-Conference Honors in Track.
Paul and his wife, Kateri, are proud parents to their daughter, Chloe, and two sons, Lincoln and Harrison. The Vincents reside in Bay Village, Ohio, where Paul was elected to a second-term to represent the residents of Ward 2 on Bay Village City Council.
